چکیده
این تحقیق دیدگاه‌هایی در مورد نقش سیستم‌های کنترل در ایجاد روابط تجاری بین‌المللی سالم فراهم می‌کند. به خصوص، تاثیر مشخصات طرح سیستم‌های کنترل صادرکنندگان را، در نقش منبع اصلی اطلاعات، بر کیفیت روابط‌شان با واسطه‌های خارجی‌شان، بررسی می‌کند. نتایج نشان می‌دهند در این روابط تجاری بین‌المللی حوزه و زمان‌بندی اطلاعات به طور مستقیم بر کیفیت رابطه تاثیرگذار است، و شدت استفاده از این اطلاعات – به روش‌های شناختی یا تعاملی- تا حدی این ارتباطات مثبت را تقویت می‌کند. نتایج پیشنهاد می‌کنند شرکت‌های صادراتی باید تلاش بیشتری معطوف توسعه سیستم‌های کنترل رسمی کنند که اطلاعات بهنگام ایجاد می‌کند، و این تحقیق مسیرهایی برای تحقیقات آتی نشان می‌دهد.

1. مقدمه
بسیاری از سازمان‌های کوچک و متوسط (SMEها) به وسیله واسطه‌های مستقل (عامل‌ها، واردکنندگان، دلالان و غیره) صادرات انجام می‌دهند (کوهلمیر و نایت، 2010؛ لئونیدو، کاتسیکیاس و سامی، 2002؛ مادسن، موئن و هامرفلد، 2012). این روابط رسیدن به بازارهای قابل دسترس (گنکتورک و آئولاخ، 2007)، حذف هزینه‌ها (ساچدف، بلو و پیلینگ، 1994)، بهبود کیفیت و عملکرد (گنکتورک و آئولاخ، 2007)، قرارداد با خریداران اصلی یا دانش ضروری را برای تولید‌کننده‌ها ممکن می‌سازد و خدمات بازاری پیچیده‌تر منطبق با بازاری خاص را در دسترس‌شان قرار می‌دهد (پاهود دی مورتانگس و ووسن، 1999). اما توسعه روابط هماهنگ با شرکاء خارجی با مسائل بسیاری مواجه می‌شود (لئونیدو، لئونیدو، کودوناریس و هالتمن، 2013) که نیل به اهداف عملکردی را دشوار می‌سازد (اورال، 2009). در مورد نحوه مدیریت بهتر این روابط به منظور رسیدن به موفقیت بین‌المللی توسط SMEها دانش نسبتاً کمی وجود دارد (کوهلمیر و نایت، 2010).
از آنجایی که این روابط موضعیت را پیچیده می‌کند (کاووسگیل، دلیگونول و ژانگ، 2004؛ سولبرگ، 2006)، مدیران باید کیفیت رابطه را به عنوان عامل تعیین کننده اصلی فروش بلندمدت، سود و رشد شرکت بهبود بخشند (بلو، چلاریو و ژانگ، 2003؛ اورال، 2009). مفهوم کیفیت رابطه برای منابع کسب و کار بین‌المللی (لاگس، لاگس و لاگس، 2005) در نقش ساختار دست دوم متشکل از چند عنصر متمایز، هرچند مرتبط، اهمیت یافته است، این عناصر عبارتند از: انطباق، تعهد، همکاری، رضایت، اعتماد و شناخت. کیفیت ارتباط خوب نشان می‌دهد ارتباط پتانسیل آینده را ارائه می‌کند، و بخشی اساسی از عملکرد صادرکننده در بازارهای بین‌المللی را شرح می‌دهد (کوهلمیر و نایت، 2010؛ لئونیدو و همکاران 2013؛ سولبرگ، 2006). این حقیقت که کیفیت رابطه برای رسیدن به عملکرد عالی در کسب و کار بین‌المللی ضروری است نیاز به سرمایه‌گذاری بر زمان، فعالیت و منابع در بهبود روابط را برجسته می‌کند (لئونیدو و همکاران 2013). برخی مطالعات بررسی کرده‌اند که کدام عوامل می‌تواند کیفیت رابطه را بهبود بخشد (کومار، شیِر و استنکامپ، 1995؛ انگوین و انگوین، 2010).
سولبرگ (2006) تحلیل کرد که چگونه حالت‌های مختلف سیستم‌های کنترل بر کیفیت روابط بین صادرکننده‌ها و واسطه‌های بازاریابی و فروش خارجی‌شان تاثیرگذار هستند، اما تنها شواهدی جزئی یافتند که نشان دهندۀ نیاز به تحقیقات بیشتر است. سیستم‌های کنترل- یعنی، رهنمودهای ویژه و تحت ابتکار صادرکننده، سیاست‌ها و روش‌هایی با هدف تاثیرگذاری بر واسطه‌های خارجی برای اجرای اقدامات بازاریابی به شکلی که از اهداف و استراتژی‌های صادرکننده حمایت کند (بلو و گیلیاند، 1997)- به شکلی خاص با مدیریت تبادلات بین‌المللی ارتباط دارند (آولاخ و گنکتورک، 2000). سیستم‌های کنترل یکی از منابع اطلاعات اصلی برای هر ساز
